1/2 Marathon Relay division now open for 2013 Melbourne & Beaches Music Marathon:

TWO-PERSON TEAM MEMBERS WILL EACH RUN 6.55 MILES IN 13.1 MILE HALF-MARATHON RACE

Relay race day information

• Relay runners should meet at the parking lot to the east side of the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce building at 6:15 a.m. (Located just east of the railroad tracks between New Haven and Strawbridge.)
• Look for the “Relay” sign atop at high post in the parking lot. There will be a balloon atop the post.
• The first relay bus will leave at 6:25 a.m. and the second and final bus will leave at 6:50 a.m. to take stage 2 runners to the half-way point. THESE ARE HARD TIMES. DO NOT BE LATE!
• Stage 1 runners will be brought back to the finish line as numbers warrant a bus trip. They will reunite with stage 2 runners and receive their medals at the finish line area.
• For Stage 2 runners who may want to go on their own or who may miss the bus, the half-way relay point is very near the Regions Bank at the corner of Eau Gallie Blvd. and Riverside Drive on the east side of the Eau Gallie Causeway.
• If relay team member #2 misses the shuttle bus from downtown, or if you would rather not use the shuttle, parking is available near the relay switch off point (which is Regions Bank). Park across the street at the Office Depot shopping center on Eau Gallie Blvd and South Patrick Dr. Team member #1 can drive back to the downtown finish area.
