Saturday’s Florida Today 5-k (3.1 miles) and 8-k (5 miles) are competitive yet family-friendly runs through downtown Melbourne out over the Indian River via the Melbourne Causeway and back to the finish line in downtown Melbourne.
The Florida Today 5-k and 8-k races begin and end in the same vicinity as the Marathon and 1/2 Marathon: 1005 East Strawbridge Avenue in Melbourne
The Florida Today 8-K is also the USATF Florida State Championship Race.
Unlike other races that prohibit strollers, we are encouraging jogging strollers and walkers in this race. Want to walk a 5-K? No problem with that either as the Florida Today 5-K is all about camaraderie and a healthy way to kick off the day.
Race day entries will be accepted up until 20 minutes to the start of each race.
The Florida Today 5-K offers awards to the top three overall male and female finisher and to the top three male and female finishers in each of the following age groups and segments below.
